Great local restaurant. Bar and wait staff are super accommodating and very nice. Delicious specials every night of the week. Overall, great food!

Food was well cooked and tasted great. Friendly bar tender. A little more expensive compared to regular bars but okay.

Huge menu should be a red flag. I got a Savin rock triple decker sandwich but what I got was like 12 pounds of sliced turkey with cheese and bacon on rye. It was kind of bland. My buddy had a 18 oz steak.. He enjoyed that. Basically a bar with a small dining area. It was a bit pricey also for mediocre food. Horrible coffee..tasted like dishwater. Took a very long time to get our meal also. Not impressed.

Excellent food! From appetizers to the main course, everything was fantastic. They roast all their own meats, and they are so flavorful and aromatic! Highly recommended!

Lucky find in an unfamiliar neighborhood. Several burger combos, corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, delish rib eye steak grinder on good bread, skinny onion rings, boom boom cauliflower, and the list goes on. Generous portions, well prepared and served hot! Don't forget the great draft beer selection. Terrific service and easy parking.

I love this place. Friendly staff, great seafood (I always get seafood) but they even let you sample slices of their meats & man is it good. The restaurant is casual, has a nice bar, a great menu & the wait is never long.It's right across from the beach/boardwalk too, if you want to take a refreshing stroll before or after your dining.I highly recommend you try Savin Rock Roasting Co. AT LEAST once!!

Whenever I'm in West Haven I can't help but go to this FANTASTIC restaurant. The stuffed mushrooms are the best I ever had plus the prime pork chops are ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND TRULY AMAZING. Fire grilled tender, thick and juicy. I can go on and on about the quality food this establishment serves but it is a MUST to go there if you haven't done so.

80 percent bar 20 percent restauraunt! Had a New York strip steak there. A quality hamburger would have been a better choice than that! Never go there again!

Great little gem near the beach😃 The food is always fresh and plentiful. I got a pastrami sandwich that was not only delicious but it was big enough for 2 meals. My husband and kids got the fried seafood combo and it was also delicious. If you are nearby you should definitely check them out. You will not be disappointed.

A non descript eatery, actually looks like a bar from the street. But this is so much more. I have sampled the Turkey, Roast Beef and Ham, all oh which are cooked in house. It's going to take me several more trips here to try everything on the menu.The menu is huge, it covers sandwiches, burgers, comfort foods, seafood and a full Italian menu. Come soon and come often.

I ordered the pork chops Rosemary. The pork chops were as tender as can be. I went with four friends and everyone loved their food! The wait staff and bartender were excellent! I usually go every few weeks. I've always had great meals!

My most favorite place! I'm just so angry they stopped serving roast beef after 5! 😭

I dont understand the bad reviews! My husband and I have been going to the new location on a regular basis and have never had a bad meal. Got the seafood combo with angel hair pasta and crab suace. It was amazing. I eat it for dinner and lunch the next day. The service is always great, the owners are super sweet. No excuse not to check this place out.

We love Savin Rock! The food is always amazing, especially the daily specials, and they always have a great beer list (many craft New England brews). We come with our young kids, and they are always very accommodating with a big tin of crayons and lots of coloring book options. We come here often, and will keep coming back - the specials are never the same!

Everytime I am in the area I stop in to Savin Rock Roasting Co. Their pastrami sandwich is wonderful and they always have great specials. They usually have a nice selection of seafood dishes as well. There is a bar too if you just want to grab a drink.

Probably the worst restaurant I have personally tried in west haven. Heard it use to be good, but I guess they moved locations and it has evidently went down hill. Everything we had tasted frozen and or microwaved.

Savin Rock Roasting Co. is one of our favorite restaurants in West Haven. The food is always delicious, the salad dressing of the day unique and the beer list dynamic and interesting. With half portions, a diverse menu and fresh-from-their-garden offerings, SRRC has something for everybody!

Its a place that all the locals know and seem to love....worth the detour! Sally is the best! Low low wine prices! Try Sledgehammer Red!

We usually go to Jimmy's of Savin Rock, however this time we decided to try Savin Roasting Co. The service was great, the food was fresh, and had a wide variety of food on their menus. The atmosphere was fantastic. I rated them a four because there was one area I felt needed improvement and that was the bench cushions either need to replaced or a deep cleaning needs to be done.

I love your restaurant..your food is incredible, the staff is amazing, the portions are unbelievable and it is a wonderful value. Keep up the great work! It is a great gem in West Haven!

Absolutely fantastic great food great service

We always enjoy coming to Savin Rock Roasting company. The menu is varied with great specials. The food is fresh and well prepared. The waitstaff is attentive and accommodating. We have never had a bad meal here.

I love this restaurant during the spring and summer I visit my friend in West Haven we walk and talk along the beach and relax here for lunch I haven't been in a while and wanted to experience something different on the menu I ordered the fried shrimp with fries and it may have been the best fried shrimp since I left Texas they should sell that breading in the restaurant my Sister ordered a pasta dish with meatball it was amazing Can't close without mentioning the coffee drink delicious but pricey most coffee drinks r but it give me that midday kick I was looking 4

Old school food, nice atmosphere. Family like. My daughter and had a decent meal at a good price.

We’ve gone here twice now and have enjoyed both experiences. Our servers/bartenders were polite and friendly and made great recommendations. Everything we’ve tried so far has been excellent!

Amazing owners and even better food! Everything is so good, but the Thursday pot pie special is especially delicious.

The staff is very friendly and they make us feel very welcome every time we come in. The food is outstanding and such a wonderful choice on the menu. Can’t tell you enough about the great portions that are served and most importantly the great quality and presentation of the meals being served.

We love going to Savin Rock Roasting Company as often as possible. The food is excellent, the staff is wonderful, friendly and always so accommodating. The quality of the food is terrific & the specials are always interesting and adventurous. The fresh, vegetables grown on-site and used in their recipes make every meal that much more delicious. SRRC is our favorite place to go for lunch or dinner and everyone always makes us feel welcome and appreciated - Keep up the good work!

Over priced , for sandwiches that had an embarrassing amount of meat in them. This place used to be great. I'm sad to see what has happened to it.

Portions where very small. Was much better at the old location . I went twice just to see if it was an off night. First time bad server got half the order wrong. Took so long to get I ate what they served me. So crowded I was bumped into 4 times without leaving my seat. Worst parts where portions, and service. $88 and I left hungry. Second time Wednesday night not as crowded. Service was good portions still small. I should have stayed home or ate before I went there. Food nothing special. I won't be going back. Not at all impressed. Biggest let down was portion size. I'm 165 lbs. Not a big guy and after spending $100.00 including tip we went home and had dinner. Sad...

Really good spot here in new haven area. Was told about this spot so we figured we would try this spot out. Food was awesome the dessert was amazing. All food made to order

Amazing food, first time found it on line and decided to give it a try. Will definitely be coming back. The half soup and sandwich is a perfect lunch time option and the seafood stuffed mushrooms as a appetizer is a perfect choice

First visit and we will definitely return soon for another delicious meal! Large portions! In house made desserts. We tried the pumpkin cheesecake. Portion enough for 2 and a doggie bag to go! The squirrel was hoping for some of my dinner but he was too late. I ate it all!!! Try it you'll love it!

Great friendly vibe, food is amazing. Garlic bread fondue is a must try. Recommend The Reuben and Pastrami sandwich!

First time there and the service and food was amazing! Delicious and portions so hefty had to take some home! If you like peanut butter and chocolate you have to have the chocolate peanut butter cake for dessert! It's a must have! Will definitely visit again!

Staff is always warm and welcoming, makes you feel like you are visiting friends. Food is amazing not a bad thing on the menu. Restaurant has recently moved across the street and unfortunately lost their patio, but the new space is still very cozy. Pictured are reuben and chicken parm, personal favorites. Their fries are amazing - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, steak cut. Rhode Island style clam chowder is very good. They have a meatball salad that is huge and filling. All the appetizers are amazing, lots of great seafood. Definitely a must visit

The wait staff was so friendly and welcoming, but the prime rib, which is the Saturday special, was inedible. Tough as shoe leather. Never had prime rib quite like it. Was definitely not prime :) But the spinach was awesome!
